Tente House

The house is built like a rectangular prism that plays with solids and voids: the white mass is subtracted and pierced with precision, while the dark gray lacquered steel structure completes the volume where the wall retreats, making visible the skeleton that it supports and defines. The openings—some vertical and slender, others horizontal and open—are cut out on the façade plane without ornamental concession, and the steel pergola dissolves the boundary between terrace and garden in the most domestic corner of the house. Inside, the staircase free of metal stringers and wooden steps becomes the generating element of the space: from it the ground floor, the double height and the upper level are simultaneously perceived, in a spatial sequence that turns the vertical path into an architectural experience. The white walls act as a canvas for the owners' art collection, confirming that the house is not only a refuge, but also a setting for a cultivated life.
